I am very excited to announce that The Kiosk, the CUNY SPS student newspaper, has been relaunched!

First founded in 2018 by student journalists Lisa Sheridan and Milan Fredericks, The Kiosk is the independent, student-run newspaper with a mission to bridge the distance-learning gap by creating a virtual lounge for all aspects of student life at CUNY SPS.

As part of its mission, The Kiosk serves as an important platform for CUNY SPS students to write about and share news, updates, and reflections about our School, academic programs, student clubs, and the people in our community.

This spring, I am thrilled to welcome The Kiosk’s new editorial team: Ivan De Luce (MA in Museum Studies ’25), who serves as editor in chief, and Tasnia Rashid (BS in Information Systems ’24), who serves as managing editor. (Pictured left to right below).

Ivan

Ivan and Tasnia have hit the ground running and have already redesigned the Kiosk site and added new content. (You can read more about their efforts here.) And I can’t wait: I’ve bookmarked the website and am already reading their stories — I invite you all to do the same too!
